Use of DataAfternoon Voice is an independent, English language newspaper and digital news site in Mumbai. It was founded on August 8th, 2009, by former Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, former Commissioner of Police Mumbai D. Sivanandan, and former Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai R. A. Rajeev. It features a wide scope of news, from interviews with local newsmakers, to national political and business stories. Staff writers include trainee journalists whose work is edited by senior writers. News agencies such as Asian News International and Press Trust of India supply most of the journal’s national stories.
Headquartered in Mumbai, India’s largest city, Afternoon Voice covers politics, finance, entertainment, lifestyle, editorial & op-ed. Under current editor-in-chief, Vaidehi Taman, the newspaper has survived and has expanded to provide broad news and commentary to its audience in the metropolitan Mumbai region.
It is best known for its powerful editorial commentaries and readers’ opinions.
