American Canyon, California (digital)
The American Canyon Eagle is a weekly news publication covering the city of American Canyon in Napa Valley, California, produced as a division of the Napa Valley Register.
The Eagle was started by Lee's Napa Valley Publishing during a period when American Canyon, incorporated in 1992, was projected to see substantial economic growth. In December 2018, the paper ended its Thursday print edition while continuing as a digital publication, with group publisher Davis Taylor describing the shift as a recalibration rather than a failure. In September 2024, Lee Enterprises sold the Napa Valley Register and its family of publications, including the Eagle, to Hoffmann Media Group, a division of the Hoffmann Family of Companies.
The Eagle covers American Canyon city government, schools, sports, and community life, including a recurring "Eagle Eye" column on local developments.
Content is published on napavalleyregister.com/eagle and distributed through the Napa Valley Register's subscription platform; historical print issues are digitized through the St. Helena Public Library's Napa County Newspaper Archive.
