ArmStatBank is the online statistical database of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia (ArmStat). It was launched on 14 September 2012, developed with the support of Statistics Denmark within the framework of an EU Twinning project entitled "Forwarding Armenian Statistics Through Twinning." Armenia was the first country in the world to use the PX-Web 2012 platform option for its national statistics dissemination. ArmStat, the parent institution, traces its origins to the Statistical Department of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Armenia, which began operations on 7 January 1922.
ArmStatBank provides access to a wide range of statistical indicators for Armenia organised by theme. These include national accounts, foreign trade, demographic data, labour market statistics, industrial output, agricultural data, health indicators, education metrics, and social statistics aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The database covers time series going back several decades and is updated regularly. It also provides access to microdata from major surveys such as the Household Integrated Living Conditions Survey.
ArmStatBank serves as the authoritative source for official Armenian statistical data and is widely used by journalists, researchers, and policy analysts. Its data underpin reporting on economic conditions, poverty, population change, and social indicators in Armenia. The platform provides a primary resource for data journalism and evidence-based reporting on Armenian affairs.
ArmStatBank is freely accessible online via armstatbank.am and requires no registration. Users can select tables, define parameters, and download data in multiple formats. The platform operates in Armenian, Russian, and English.
