Ownership

Penske Media Corporation (PMC) acquired Artforum in December 2022 from longtime publisher and primary owner Anthony "Tony" Korner. Artforum operates editorially independent of PMC's other art titles, ARTnews and Art in America. PMC's chairman and CEO is Jay Penske. The Financial Times reported that Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund invested $200 million in PMC in 2018.

Acquisitions and divestitures

PMC previously acquired Art Media Holdings, LLC, the parent of ARTnews and Art in America, from collector Peter Brant in 2018.
