North Jersey Media Group Inc. (NJMG) was a family-owned newspaper and magazine publisher headquartered in Woodland Park, New Jersey. It was controlled by four successive generations of the Borg family from 1930 until the company's sale to Gannett Co., Inc. in 2016. NJMG published The Record, the second-largest newspaper in New Jersey by circulation, along with the Herald News and more than 50 community newspapers and magazines.

John Borg, a Wall Street financier, invested in what was then the Bergen Evening Record in 1920 and acquired full ownership by 1930. His son Donald Borg took over the business in 1949. Leadership subsequently passed to a third generation, Malcolm "Mac" Borg and Gregory Borg, and then to a fourth generation: Stephen Borg, who served as company president, and his sister Jennifer Borg, who served as vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary from 1995 until the 2016 sale. The Borg family organized its media holdings under an umbrella company, Macromedia, Inc., in 1982, which was reorganized and renamed North Jersey Media Group in 2000.
On July 6, 2016, Gannett Co., Inc. announced its acquisition of North Jersey Media Group, ending 86 years of Borg family ownership. The sale price was not publicly disclosed; Gannett said the acquisition would add approximately $90 million in annual revenue. In a letter to employees at the time, Malcolm "Mac" Borg wrote that the family was "leaving a business we have nurtured and loved for 86 years and which is now in its fourth generation." Following the sale, Gannett merged the operations of its existing Daily Record (Morris County) into North Jersey Media Group. Gannett Co., Inc. renamed itself USA TODAY Co., Inc. effective November 18, 2025; North Jersey Media Group's titles remain part of that company as of this entry.
