Biography

Edward Bushey held senior operations and finance roles at Newsday over more than two decades, including director of planning and analysis for finance, senior vice president overseeing production, distribution, and audience development, and ultimately co-publisher. He led daily printing, pressroom, and distribution operations for Newsday and its affiliated products, and was part of the negotiating team representing Newsday in successive union bargaining agreements with GCC/Teamster units. He served on the board of directors of the News/Media Alliance for an initial 2017-2019 term while at Newsday Media Group. In 2018, Bushey left Newsday to join tronc, Inc. (Tribune Publishing), serving as senior vice president/general manager of manufacturing and distribution for the New York Daily News from April 2018 to November 2020.
