Business Observer

The Business Observer is a paid-circulation weekly business newspaper covering Florida's Gulf Coast from Tampa Bay to Naples, published by Observer Media Group.

The paper started in 1997 as the Gulf Coast Business Review, initially covering only Sarasota and Manatee counties. In October 2001, it acquired the 51-year-old Tampa Bay Review and expanded to a regional weekly covering Tampa-St. Petersburg to Sarasota. In 2005, it opened a Fort Myers office to cover Lee and Collier counties. In 2013, the paper relaunched under its current name, Business Observer, bringing it under the Observer Media Group brand.

The paper covers business, commercial real estate, and economic trends across Polk, Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, and Collier counties, and is a leading publisher of public notices on Florida's Gulf Coast.
