Biography

Craig S. Mitchell holds an accounting degree from Augusta College and a master of accountancy, with a tax option, from the University of Georgia. He is a certified public accountant. Before joining Morris Communications in 1994, Mitchell worked in the tax department of the accounting firm Deloitte Haskins & Sells and later served as treasurer of President Baking Company.

Mitchell joined Morris Communications, the privately held Augusta, Georgia-based media company, in 1994. He has served in a series of senior finance roles at the company, including senior vice president, finance secretary and treasurer, and now serves as president and chief executive officer of both Morris Communications and its cable subsidiary, Morris Broadband. According to Bloomberg's corporate-affiliations data, Mitchell also holds directorships with Morris Publishing Group LLC and Mediacom Communications Corporation, as well as several related Morris corporate entities, including Pesto Inc., Questo Inc. and Shivers Inc.
