Elite Daily is an American online news and lifestyle platform aimed at millennial and Gen Z readers, covering news, politics, social justice, relationships and entertainment.
Elite Daily launched independently in February 2012, founded by David Arabov, Jonathon Francis and Gerard Adams. DMG Media, publisher of Britain's Daily Mail, acquired the site in January 2015 for an estimated $50 million, then wrote down the investment years later citing disappointing performance. In April 2017, Bustle Digital Group, led by founder Bryan Goldberg, acquired Elite Daily from DMG Media and folded it into its portfolio of millennial and women's media brands, which today also includes Bustle, Romper and The Zoe Report.
Elite Daily's documentary team won a New York Emmy Award in Politics/Government for the short film "Meet the 14-Year-Old Who Helped Legalize Same-Sex Marriage," and the site ranked as the seventh most-shared site on Facebook in December 2014.
