Biography

Elizabeth Hudson is editor in chief of Our State, a North Carolina lifestyle magazine that produces a 200-plus page monthly issue reaching close to 180,000 subscribers. A native of Farmer, North Carolina, near Asheboro, she holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and began her publishing career at Our State in 1997. She held various editorial titles over the following decade before being named editor in chief in 2009. Hudson writes a monthly column for the magazine and is the 2014 recipient of the Ethel Fortner Writer and Community Award, which recognizes contributions to the literary arts of North Carolina.
