Forest Park, Illinois, USA
Forest Park Review is a weekly print and digital newspaper serving Forest Park, Illinois, a Chicago suburb in Cook County. It publishes every Wednesday. As of Feb. 25, 2026, the title operates under NEWSWELL Chicago, a nonprofit news consortium affiliated with Arizona State University, after its prior nonprofit owner, Growing Community Media NFP, donated the paper along with three sister publications (Wednesday Journal, Austin Weekly News and the Riverside-Brookfield Landmark).
Founded Oct. 20, 1917, by Albert L. Hall. The paper was sold to Wednesday Journal Inc. in 1987. Wednesday Journal Inc.'s four Chicago-area titles converted to nonprofit ownership as Growing Community Media NFP around 2019-2020. On Feb. 25, 2026, GCM donated its four titles to NEWSWELL, making them the first Chicago-area publications and the first outside California in NEWSWELL's portfolio.
Published a monthly 100-year history retrospective throughout 2017 marking its centennial. Named Illinois' best small weekly newspaper by the Illinois Press Association's Best of the Press contest in both 2025 and 2026, winning the David Kramer Sweepstakes Trophy for General Excellence both years.
