Inter American Press Association (IAPA)

The IAPA is committed to defending and promoting freedoms of the press and expression by investigating and reporting acts of repression and threats against journalists and media outlets. The IAPA also defends against laws that violate privacy, limit access to public information, control the Internet, and punish journalists through contempt rules.
