Founded in 1997, it is an independent global network of 280 investigative journalists and over 140 media organizations from more than 100 countries. The ICIJ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and aims to uncover and expose corruption, organized crime, and abuse of power through investigative journalism.
