Jennifer Kho, In the Chicago Sun-Times 178-year history, is the first woman and person of color to serve as executive editor. Her education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Humboldt State University and in 2003, completing the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley.
Kho served as founding editor at Greentech Media, and at Huffington Post she served as director of strategic Innovation and also managing editor. She also served as editor at The Guardian US, where she contributed to shaping editorial strategies and engaging diverse audiences.
Before becoming executive editor for Chicago Sun-Times Kho served as vice president of journalism and information at DoGoodery, where she launched a journalism and information equity practice, supporting news and information organizations in strategic editorial, audience development, revenue generation, DEI initiatives, storytelling, and innovation.
Kho has also served on the board of the Journalism and Women Symposium (JAWS) for five years (in 2021, becoming its President) and acted as senior adviser for Canary Media.
