Biography

Richard Martinelli is secretary-treasurer of Today Media, a family-owned regional media company, and serves as group publisher across its portfolio of titles, including Delaware Today, Delaware Business Times, the Delaware Valley Italian-American Herald, and custom publications such as Delaware Lawyer. He is also president of Today Media Custom Communications, the company's custom-publishing division. Martinelli is a son of the late Angelo R. Martinelli (1927–2018), the six-term mayor of Yonkers, New York, who founded the family's media business in 1948 when he purchased the Yonkers printing company Gazette Press, the foundation of what became Today Media. Martinelli attended the University of Miami from 1976 to 1980 and is based in Yonkers.
