New York Nonprofit Media covers news, jobs and events for New York's nonprofit sector, publishing a daily e-newsletter alongside a jobs board and events division. It is a sister publication to City & State.
The publication was founded around 2002 by Fred Scaglione as New York Nonprofit Press, which served the industry for 12 years under his editorship. City & State NY, LLC acquired the company in 2014 and, with Scaglione's guidance, redesigned and relaunched it as New York Nonprofit Media. Scaglione died of cancer in August 2015; New York Nonprofit Media later created the Fred Scaglione Award in his honor, recognizing contributions to New York's nonprofit sector.
