Oak Bay Local is a free weekly newsletter and community group connecting residents of Oak Bay, a municipality in Greater Victoria, British Columbia, with local news, events, people and culture.
Oak Bay Local began in 2016 as a community-connection effort centered on a Facebook group, which grew to more than 23,000 members. It has since added a weekly email newsletter. The publication is part of Overstory Media Group, a Canadian media company based in Victoria, British Columbia, founded in 2021 by Farhan Mohamed and Andrew Wilkinson.
