Pleasanton Weekly is a community newspaper serving Pleasanton, California, and the surrounding Tri-Valley region, published by the nonprofit Embarcadero Media Foundation.
Debuted Jan. 28, 2000, as a free weekly under founding publisher and editor Jeb Bing, launched by Embarcadero Publishing founder Bill Johnson and founding president Bob Thomas. Gina Channell was named division president and Pleasanton Weekly publisher in 2006. Jeremy Walsh took over as editor from Bing in 2017. Embarcadero Media transitioned to nonprofit status as the Embarcadero Media Foundation on Jan. 1, 2024.
Won 14 California Journalism Awards as of a May 2025 announcement. Print circulation was 9,500 as of 2020, with digital reach of 180,000 monthly visits.
