Brian Robbins (born Brian Levine, November 22, 1963, in New York City) is an American film producer, director and studio executive. Raised in the Marine Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, he co-founded the digital media company AwesomenessTV before rejoining Viacom in 2017 as the first president of Paramount Players. He became president of Nickelodeon in 2018, succeeding Cyma Zarghami after more than 30 years with the network, and was named president and CEO of Paramount Pictures in September 2021, overseeing the studio's filmed entertainment division, including Paramount Animation, Paramount Home Entertainment and Paramount Studio Group, while continuing to lead Nickelodeon and serve as chief content officer for movies and kids and family programming at Paramount+. Under his leadership, Paramount revitalized franchises including Transformers, Sonic the Hedgehog and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and released Paw Patrol: The Movie using a hybrid theatrical and streaming strategy. On April 29, 2024, following the resignation of CEO Bob Bakish, Robbins was elevated to co-CEO of Paramount Global alongside George Cheeks and Chris McCarthy. He departed the company in 2025 following the completion of Paramount Global's merger with Skydance Media. In January 2026, Robbins launched a new animation studio, Big Shot Pictures, with a first-look deal at Sony Pictures. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, a board member of the Motion Picture Association, and a trustee of the American Film Institute, and has received a Directors Guild Award, a Peabody Award and the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' Pioneer Prize.
