Adam Trumble is a Carson City, Nevada-based editor and publisher who has spent his career in community newspapers. He earned his first professional byline at age 17 and began working full-time for newspapers at 18, graduating from Central Michigan University with a journalism degree in 2005. After two years at a paper in Alpena, Michigan, he moved west and joined the Nevada Appeal in Carson City in 2007. He was named editor of the Appeal in 2014 and, starting in 2016, took on additional responsibility for the company's other publications and advertising production. On January 1, 2025, Trumble purchased the Nevada Appeal, The Record-Courier, the Lahontan Valley News and the Northern Nevada Business Weekly from Pacific Publishing Company through his own company, Eagle Valley Publishing, returning local ownership to titles that trace their combined circulation history back more than 470 years. The publications continue to operate under the Nevada News Group name, where Trumble also serves as operations director.
