Overview

Vermont News and Media LLC is an independently owned newspaper group based in Brattleboro, Vermont, publishing the Brattleboro Reformer, the Bennington Banner, the Manchester Journal and Vermont Country Magazine, covering southern Vermont and parts of New Hampshire, New York and Massachusetts.

History

The company was founded in 2021 by Brattleboro businessman and software entrepreneur Paul Belogour to acquire the Brattleboro Reformer, Bennington Banner, Manchester Journal and UpCountry Magazine (later renamed Vermont Country Magazine) from New England Newspapers Inc., the Pittsfield, Massachusetts-based publisher of The Berkshire Eagle. The sale closed May 14, 2021. Under the agreement, The Berkshire Eagle's production facility continued printing the Vermont titles.
