Vijayavani is a Kannada-language daily newspaper distributed across the Indian state of Karnataka, published by VRL Media Private Limited, a subsidiary of the VRL Group. It is the largest-circulated newspaper in Karnataka, with editions in Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Hubballi, Mysuru, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gangavathi, Chitradurga, Shivamogga and Kalaburagi.
Vijayavani was relaunched as a multi-edition broadsheet on April 1, 2012, by VRL Group chairman Vijay Sankeshwar, who had earlier founded the Kannada daily Vijaya Karnataka in 1999-2000 before selling it, along with its English-language sister publication Vijay Times, to Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (Times Group) in 2006. The Vijayavani title itself traces to a 1954 district tabloid based in Tumkur, which VRL acquired in 2011. Vijayavani launched editions in nine cities within 90 days of its relaunch. VRL Media also operates the Kannada television news channel Dighvijaya News 24x7, launched in April 2017.
