Watermark Publishing is part of aio, a diversified holding company chaired and led by Duane K. Kurisu. aio's media division, aio Media Group, also includes Honolulu magazine, Hawaii Business magazine, Hawaii Home + Remodeling, ESPN Honolulu, and CBS Sports Radio Hawaii. Kurisu is also a minority owner of Oahu Publications, publisher of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

History

Watermark Publishing was incorporated in Hawaii in October 1999. Kurisu acquired his first media company in the 1990s, which led to the creation of the aio family of companies.
