The Westshore is a twice-weekly digital local news outlet covering the West Shore region of Greater Victoria, British Columbia, including Langford, Colwood, View Royal, Metchosin, Highlands, Sooke and the Juan de Fuca area. It is published as a newsletter, distributed each Tuesday and Thursday.
The Westshore was launched in 2022 by Overstory Media Group, a Canadian media company based in Victoria, British Columbia, founded in 2021 by Farhan Mohamed and Andrew Wilkinson. Wilkinson had earlier founded Overstory's flagship publication, Capital Daily, in 2019. Reporting for The Westshore has included coverage supported by Canada's Local Journalism Initiative.
